For the sake of practice or perhaps out of boredom I soldered together this device one afternoon. It counts from zero to fifteen using D flip-flops and illuminates the LEDs to indicate the count in binary. I included one button for counting up and another button to reset. I learned a couple lessons the hard way about debouncing and voltage regulation. I mounted the circuit inside a green Altoids tin to give it a more 'finished' aesthetic.
